Payment Policy

The policy regarding payment, refunds and make-up lessons is as follows:

1) Payment of the semester fee must be made prior to the student's first lesson of the semester.

2) Only one make-up lesson for private lessons missed for illness will be allowed per semester. Make-up lessons for illness are scheduled during the week following the end of the semester. Any other make-ups must be arranged with the instructor and only with their permission.

3) Teacher cancellations will be made up during the semester at a convenient time for both the teacher and the student. Merit Music has the right to provide a substitute in order to avoid cancellation.

4) Once missed, make-ups can not be rescheduled.

5) All students are enrolled for an entire semester or the balance of the semester when entering late.

6) Semester tuition is non-refundable excepting in cases such as a student's prolonged illness or change of residence out of the area. This will take effect from the date of notification.

7) Merit Music has the right to cancel lessons if payment is past due.

 

 

Winter Weather Policy

Merit Music does not observe all public and private school holidays, school vacations or snow cancellations.

The lesson office will contact you if there is a need to cancel lessons for adverse weather conditions. Lessons are not necessarily cancelled at Merit Music when there are public and private school closings. We make very attempt to remain open.

Lessons missed because of snow or inclement weather will not be made up in the following cases:

    1. Lessons cancelled by Merit Music due to severe weather.

    2. Lessons cancelled by clients who choose not to attend lessons when the studios are open and teacher is present.
